Not enrolling patients at this time

SPRI has experience with a number of other medical conditions for which we are not currently seeking to enroll patients in at this time. These include:
  • Post Herpetic Neuralgia
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Pain
  • Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy
  • Generalized Anxiety Disorder
  • Addiction (alcohol, Opiates, etc.)
  • Smoking Cessation

New studies in the conditions listed above, as well as others not listed, are constantly being awarded to SPRI. Even if we are not presently recruiting for patients with your particular disorder or needs, we may do so in the future.

Clinical Research Studies Brooklyn works in close concert with major pharmaceutical companies in their evaluation of new and better drugs to treat a variety of important medical conditions. The main focus of Clinical Research Studies Brooklyn is within the areas of psychiatry and neurology. However, from time to time SPRI does have the occasion to work on other conditions not related to either psychiatry or neurology. Medical conditions for which SPRI is or has worked on include: Dementia associated with Alzheimer’s disease, migraine, diabetic peripheral neuropathy, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, major depressive disorder, attention deficit disorder, and sleep. Certain conditions are particularly challenging for medical science to get a handle on. For example, it has been extremely difficult to develop a drug to effectively treat the underlying pathophysiology of Alzheimer’s disease. Currently, only symptomatic relief of the Memory Loss associated with this disease is possible. There also continues to be a great deal of work being done within the areas of Bipolar Disorder Research and Schizophrenia Research because the underlying etiologies and pathophysiologies are still not completely understood, and the drugs that are currently available to treat these disorders do not always reliably ameliorate the symptoms and/or the drugs possess significant side effects that can limit their use.
